Fedor Gridnev

 

Fedor Gridnev was born in 1986 and studied at art school in St Petersburg.  Moving to the UK aged 13, Fedor began winning significant art prizes from the age of fifteen.  These include; the 2001 Laing Art Competition (under 25 prize), 2003 and 2004 Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour (Young Artist Award), 2003 Singer & Friedlander/Sunday Times Watercolour Competition (Young Artist Award), 2003, 2008 and 2011 Winsor & Newton/ROI Exhibition (Young Artist Award), 2011 Royal Society of Marine Artists (Charles Pears Award for best non-member work).

Fedor is not only a talented artist in his own right but has recently graduated in architecture in from London’s Architectural Association School of Architecture, during which he won the Best 1st Year Technical Drawing Award and 2005 Henry Florence Award. Fedor has now embarked on a career as a full-time artist and we are delighted to be showing a body of his work in the first London Family Gridnev Exhibition.
